Providing fresh, nutritious, and balanced meals for growing children.
The kitchen at Treetops Day Nursery was recently inspected by West Sussex County Council's Food Standards Agency, and we were delighted to receive the maximum elite 5-star rating for food hygiene.
This award recognises food businesses that maintain consistently excellent hygiene standards.
Winnie Jones, Director of Treetops Day Nursery, said:
"It’s fantastic to have the dedication and hard work of our kitchen team recognised in such an important way."
Under the Food Safety Act 1990, environmental health inspectors assess food premises according to the Food Standards Agency’s Code of Practice.
Food plays a vital role in a child’s development. At Treetops, we help children develop social skills by encouraging them to eat together, talk together, and learn good manners while showing consideration for others.
Using cutlery also supports the development of fine motor skills. Children can see and smell their meals being freshly prepared by our wonderful kitchen staff, and they are encouraged to express their gratitude for their food.
Lunch consists of a two-course meal, with a weekly menu available for parents to view. Tea is a lighter meal, served at 4pm. We cater for all dietary requirements as advised by parents.
